Pilates with Brave Body had taken my fitness to a much higher lever. What I particularly appreciate is the professionalism of the trainers. They never let us plateau, but push us just a little bit harder each time, so I feel I am constantly progressing.

I have recommended the studio many times to friends and neighbours for the following reasons:

The expertise of Alisa and the other instructors, not just in the Pilates method but in their commitment to health and wellness generally. I have always felt that I was in safe, caring and very competent hands. I value any advice that is offered and I place a great deal of trust in the knowledge that is shared.

The friendliness of all the staff and their genuine interest in the lives of all of us who use the studio.

The atmosphere at the studio feels very personal and welcoming, a home away from home. I think this is a deliberate service strategy that creates a relaxing space for participants.

There is a sense of partnership between the instructors and participants in learning Pilates and I appreciate the willingness and creativity of the instructors to adapt the exercises to suit individual needs/limitations

I feel stronger, healthier and more body aware which is a great feeling.

I started Pilates 6 (or maybe slightly more) years ago. At the time, I was 44 and thought I was fit and in good shape. I was active - running and rollerblading/skiing (depending on the season)- several times a week. I wanted to add core strength to my routine as I had heard that it was animportant aspect on fitness. I had no idea that it would be so beneficial not only to my fitness level but to my everyday life.

At first, I thought the classes were very easy and that I may be wasting my money. I did however, notice that the day after my workout I felt better-more aligned and, well, more comfortable in my body, so I kept going. Over time, I noticed a change in how I moved - my running, skiing, walking, and even how I sat, started changing. I was more balanced and grounded.

The next change I noticed was how strong my core had become. The exercises I thought were impossible once, I could do with ease. (Don't get me wrong there are always harder ones to learn and I continue to be challenged) I have just joined a triathlon team and noticed how I can 'stand' on the spinning bike straighter and longer than any of the much younger people on the team. This is a direct effect of my core training in Pilates.

Reading this it sounds like I'm sort of a fitness nut, and maybe I am, but I truly feel that because of Pilates, I have been able to do all these things without injury. My body has been strengthened and made flexible gradually and consistently so, for example, if I trip I can catch myself without pulling a muscle. This has greatly impacted my everyday life and this is especially important to maintain as I get older.

I must say that these changes have happened while attending only one class a week. Rarely did I do extra classes or 'homework' (Sorry Alisa).

I thoroughly enjoyed the Ballet Bootcamp last summer.

Your studio is the only place I have ever gone where I didn't injure or hurt myself through exercise.
